FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this is used in restoration of pile foundations of electric power line supports which are subjected to soil heaving due to frost. According to method, all piles or number of piles are disconnected from grillage foundation, then piles are additionally sunken by means of extension pieces mounted on pile heads until upper ends of piles are located below surface of ground base to value being equal to 0.5-0.7 of depth of seasonal freezing of surrounding ground. After that, pile heads are connected to grillage foundation by means of flexible links with simultaneous removal of extension pieces, or pile heads are connected with grillage foundation by means of extension pieces and these extension pieces are used as upper sections of piles. Application of aforesaid method simplifies technology, reduces labour-intensity and cost of restoring operations, cuts time needed for fulfilling required work, and also improves reliability and prolongs service life of support foundation after its consolidation.
