FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to design of piles with open profile. These piles are erected in conditions of seasonally freezing and thawing ground and in permafrost ground. Pile has body which is made up of flat longitudinal components located at angle to each other. Pile is provided with supporting and anchoring base plate which is installed for possible longitudinal axial displacement with fixing relative to body of pile within preset interval of body length. Aforesaid embodiment allows for widening sphere of application of pile and improving load-bearing capacity of pile in deteriorating permafrost and seasonally freezing and thawing grounds.
