FIELD: transport engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: device has electric heater enclosed in hermetically sealed container installed with clearance relative to surface of oil pan inside detachable housing hermetically enclosing the pan. Surface of housing is provided with heat insulating coating, and container is furnished with two pipelines with shutoff gates, one of which is connected with engine cooling system drain and the other is coupled with compressed air source (receiver). Volume of hermetically sealed container is not less than cooling system volume. Housing walls have hermetic hatch covers. Through hole is made in lower portion of housing. Tubular channel is formed in container. Hermetic space is furnished with heat removing pipes passed through oil pan space. Space of clearance between container and walls of crankcase is connected with storage battery case. Electric heater has temperature controller. EFFECT: increased service life of oil. 7 cl, 3 dwg
