FIELD: electrical equipment manufacture. SUBSTANCE: breaker handle has faceted base and cross-arm is provided with faceted end enabling instantaneous and remote instant initial disconnection of contacts to suppress short arc. New kinematic coupling is proposed between trip-free mechanism components enabling use of main spring of each pole for locking handle in position and its reset to OFF-position upon automatic operation with handle held in ON-position. Free-trip mechanism developed for multipole circuit breaker provides for reliable manual disconnection and multipole operation when disconnection is made in one pole. EFFECT: improved reliability of manual disconnection and indication of ON- and OFF-positions of operating handle. 4 dwg
