FIELD: gate closure repairing. SUBSTANCE: gate closure includes metallic frame mounted on metallurgical reservoir, stationary refractory plate and movable refractory plate provided with openings for melt metal flow. Pneumatic cylinder rigidly joined with said movable plate is designed for controlling displacement of said movable plate relative to stationary one and mutual overlapping of two plates. Gate closure also includes means for joining said stationary and movable plates and casting nozzle to one plate assembly that may be inserted to metallic frame of gate closure and remove out of it by the same operation. Each refractory plate may be coated with metallic envelope. Said metallic envelopes connect refractory plates at changing the last but allow to displace both plates by means of pneumatic cylinder during operation of gate closure.
