FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, use of plates of sliding gates of metallurgical vessels. SUBSTANCE: gate has upper and lower hollows to receive set of two refractory plates. Set has new plate and plate used once. In replacement of plates, new plate is installed in upper or lower hollow which remains one and the same in loading of each new plate. Used plate is installed in the other hollow which is repeatedly used. EFFECT: simple and reliable replacement of plates, prolonged service life of plates. 18 cl, 11 dwg
