FIELD: separation of suspensions of sugar industry. SUBSTANCE: settler has body accommodating rows of parallel settling and clarifying launders. These launders are dihedral angles equalling 90-120 deg in cross-section. Vertexes of angles in clarifying launders are directed upward and in settling launders, downward. Each settling launder is located so that areas of its side walls with width amounting to 25-50% of their total width are located between side walls of neighboring clarifying launders to form similar in sizes gaps between them. EFFECT: higher efficient separation of suspensions. 4 dwg
