MULTIPLE-EFFECT EVAPORATOR Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: evaporation of liquids; sugar producing and other industries. SUBSTANCE: multiple-effect evaporator includes vertical cylindrical shell where evaporation chambers are arranged vertically; each evaporation chamber has heating surface. Last chamber has two tube sheets forming heating section between them; they are also used for isolation of one chamber from other. Secured in one tube sheet are tubes for evacuation of secondary steam from upper portion of lower chamber; secured in other tube sheet are vertical tubes blanked off at one end and located in higher chamber forming clearances with above-mentioned tubes for circulation of gas, boiling of liquid and flowing of condensate to heating section. Evaporator is provided with condensate columns connected to branch pipes discharging the condensate from each heating section. EFFECT: reduction of power requirements and facilitated evaporation process. 2 dwg
