FIELD: equipment for ultrasonic sterilization of cardboard boxes prior to filling them with food products. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has elongate ultrasonic lamp mounted in casing above conveyor. Axis of arc in lamp is extending in parallel with direction of advancement of boxes along conveyor. Parabolic cylindrical reflector is disposed above ultrasonic lamp so that reflector focus coincides with arc axis in lamp. Radiation is directed by reflector from lamp into boxes arranged on conveyor. Heat is withdrawn from reflector due to air circulation above rear surface of reflector. EFFECT: increased storage time of food products packed under aseptic conditions at room temperature, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 10 cl, 8 dwg
