FIELD: organic chemistry, antibiotics. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an anthracycline glycoside of the general formula (I) where R1 - hydrogen or methoxy-group; R2 - hydrogen or hydroxy-group; A and B - both hydrogen or one of A and B - hydrogen and other - hydroxy-group or group of the formula OSO2P5 where R5 - C1-C4-alkyl arbitrarily substituted with C1-C4-alkyl, nitro-, amino-, methoxy-group or halogen; R3 - hydrogen atom or group of the formula (2) and R4 - group of the formula (2): (CH2)n-X where n = 2 or 3; X - hydroxy-group, halogen or group of the formula OSO2P5 where R5 - as indicated above at condition that if R2, X and A - hydroxy-group and R3 - H then n must be 3, or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt. Synthesized compounds show antitumor activity. Invention proposes methods of their synthesis and pharmaceutical composition based on thereof.
