FIELD: power-plant engineering. SUBSTANCE: engine has stator with two combustion chambers installed on diametrically opposite parts of its barrel and rotor that forms, together with inner surfaces of stator and doors, expansion chamber and exhaust chamber. Combustion chamber has thermal lagging ignitor, diesel-fuel or liquefied-gas injectors, and compressed-air admission pipe; air pressure is built up by means of main compressor. Combustion chamber and adjacent part of stator barrel are cooled down by compressed air supplied from additional compressor to heat-insulating chamber wherefrom air heated to 500 C and compressed to 50 kg/sq. cm is periodically passed to expansion chamber thereby raising engine power and efficiency. Engine rotor is cooled in same way. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of engine. 2 cl, 8 dwg
