FIELD: mechanical engineering; transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: shock absorber has housing and cylinder installed in housing to form reservoir which is filled with working liquid. Piston and rod fitted in cylinder form above-piston and under-piston spaces. Rod cover has bypass valves and throttling channel. One of bypass valves is provided with control chamber. Throttling channel is made of laminar portion at inlet of working liquid from above-piston space and turbulent portion at outlet into reservoir. Transfer zone between these portions is connected by channel with bypass valve control chamber. Invention contains description of other design versions of shock absorber.
