FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: hydraulic shock-absorber comprises housing with under-piston and face lids, cylinder with above-piston lid mounted inside the housing to form a vessel filled with fluid, piston with rod mounted in the cylinder to define under-piston and above-piston spaces, and inlet valves set in the piston and piston lid. The piston has the axial opening. The rod is hollow and provided with the bore that receives the drain pipe secured in the axial opening of the above-piston lid. The bore is connected with the under-piston space through passages. The free end of the drain pipe whose length exceeds the piston stroke is provided with by-pass valve having plunger gate provided with throttle passages made of longitudinal peripheral wedge-shaped grooves of varying cross-section. The area of the cross-section decreases toward the face of the plunger gate. The opposite end of the drain pipe is connected with the vessel.
EFFECT: enhanced shock absorbing and reliability.
