FIELD: sealing technology; end seals for hydraulic machine shafts. SUBSTANCE: during rotation of movable sealing ring together with shaft and holder, ring gets in contact with fixed sealing ring which is supported by holder. Holder is provided with secondary seals which seal the holder over shaft and support fitted in housing of machine. Preliminary axial force created by means of helical cylindrical spring is applied between shaft and holder of movable sealing ring which is axially movable along shaft. During operation of hydraulic machine, radial and angular displacements of shaft being sealed arise; these displacement are taken up by ring due to sliding in radial direction relative to each other and due to angular motion over spherical surfaces available on rings and holders.
