SUBSTANCE: ball hinge of casing head stuffing box includes tube spherical head and body collar enclosing the head and having spherical surfaces cooperating with corresponding surfaces of spherical head through upper and lower seals. The casing head stuffing box comprises sub for flow string connection and collar-and-seal unit having orifice for seal rod receiving. Each seal has at least two spherical gaskets formed of elastic material and spherical metal gasket installed in-between.
EFFECT: increased structural efficiency of ball seal in casing head stuffing box.
