ELECTRICAL INSULATING FITTING Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: transportation of liquid and gaseous media. SUBSTANCE: electrical insulating fitting has two branch pipes inter-connected by means of dielectric member made in form of three bushes mounted coaxially and secured by means of hardening compound. Inner bush is secured in holes of connecting branch pipes forming clearance between their end faces where central bush is secured. Outer bush is mounted in such position that its inner surface is engageable with outer surfaces of connected branch pipes and central bush. Bushes are made from mechanically stressed glass fiber impregnated with hardening binder. Central bush may be made integral with inner and outer bushes. Dielectric sleeve with hole in its end portion is additionally mounted on surface of fitting. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 5 cl, 3 dwg
