SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the means of masking the personnel for hiding the objects, weapons and military equipment. The object of the invention is to improve the masking properties of the material, as well as simplification of its manufacture technology. The essence of the invention consists in the fact that at least some part of the area of the proposed multilayer material does not contain at least one of the layers, or at least some part of one of the layers is made in the form of local areas (spots), at that the shift of monochrome spots of the pattern of deforming staining is permitted. The suggested material can consist of a layer highly reflective in the thermal wavelength range; a layer visually opaque but transparent in the thermal wavelength range of electromagnetic radiation spectrum; a layer transforming the absorbed radiation in different wavelength radiation; a heat-insulating layer; a heat and visually transparent layer; a layer having high level of absorption in the radar wavelength range; a layer having high electromagnetic wave scattering properties, at that any of the layers may be located from the outer and the inner side of the material.

EFFECT: proposed material significantly increases the hiding properties of masking means and can be used to hide the personnel, weapons and military equipment, including in the manufacture of camouflage clothing, covers for weapons and equipment, camouflage kits, camouflage masks etc.
