FIELD: gas treatment. SUBSTANCE: in gas emissions containing process combination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons mainly adsorbed on dusty carrier, organic material is photooxidized upon irradiation by electric discharge within wavelength range 340 to 410 nm and with average light energy density from 0.001 to 0.3 J/sq.cm during treatment period at working temperatures from 20 to 80 C. Under conditions of industrial flue in electrolysis production, 0.5 kW h energy is consumed to destroy 1 g of benzpyrene. EFFECT: reduced level of benzpyrene and other polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. 1 tbl
