FIELD: installation for cleaning of gas effluents of metallurgical, byproduct coke and petrochemical industries of 3,4-benzpyrene. SUBSTANCE: the after-burning assembly uses a source of ultra-violet radiation comprising a set of ultra-violet lamps installed in the center of the gas conduit. The lamps are arranged along or across the gas flow, each lamp is inclosed in a protective filter in the form of a glass cylinder with phosphor applied onto its surface, and/or with a coating filtering short-wave length radiation /λ340 nm/, and when arranged across it has a reflector in the side of the gas flow. The offered installation for cleaning of gas effluents has been tested in laboratory and industrial conduits. It ensures reduction of concentration of 3.4-benzpyrene by up to 5 times, sufficiently effective conformably to enterprises of aluminium, electrode and byproduct coke industries. Extermination of 1 g of 3.4-benzpyrene consumes within 0.5 to 1.0 kW of power, depending on the gas composition, flow velocity and other parameters of the gas conduit. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and simplicity in use. 3 cl, 3 dwg
