FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: reforming products are hydrogenated on platinum-containing mono-, bi-, or multimetal catalyst in presence of hydrogen at elevated temperature and pressure. Catalyst periodically, during inter-regeneration period and before regeneration, is treated for 6 to 48 h by hydrogen- containing gas with flow rate 2.0 to 15.0 cu.m per 1 cu.m catalyst at 250-400 C and 0.1-2.0 MPa pressure. EFFECT: ensured initial catalyst activity during inter-regeneration period and reduced catalyst activity drop under regeneration (4% against usual 15%). 2 tbl
