FIELD: water supply structures. SUBSTANCE: devices and mechanisms intended for utilization of underground water and particularly it relates to water-intake structures intended for pumping out artesian water and delivering it to trunk pipelines of municipal water supply systems. Water-intake device has following components located in casing pipe of well: pressure head pipeline, multisectional pump with subsurface electric motor, and hydraulic sealing unit which is made up of body and sealing member. Internal space of hydraulic sealing unit is connected with higher pressure line which is laid along pressure head pipeline. Body of hydraulic sealing unit is installed for possible reciprocating movement along axis of pressure head pipeline and it is made in the form of piece of pipe with its ends provided with flanges. Sealing member is made in the form of two inflatable chambers. One of inflatable chambers is located in internal space of body. Other inflatable chamber is seated in zone between body of hydraulic sealing unit and wall of casing pipe of well. Average diameter of piece of body pipe is selected to be equal to difference between values of external diameter of flanges and diameter of pressure head pipeline. Spaces of inflatable chambers are interconnected by hose which is laid through main hole made in wall of pipe section of hydraulic sealing unit body. This allows for aligning working plane of hydraulic sealing unit and static level of water in well that is for deepening degree of rarefaction in air medium above its dynamic level, thus increasing water intake capacity.
