DEVICE FOR DRILLING BIT SCREWING ON/OFF Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: bore-hole drilling machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: device relates to equipment for drilling bore-holes of various purpose. Device has body with shaped section and incline slots in its upper part and with holes in bottom. Located inside body are cup and spring hanger. Spring hanger is positioned between bottom of body and bottom of cup. Installed in openings of cup and mating slots of body are slips for wedging of drilling bit by its lugs. Slips are provided with actuator in the form of springs with compressing nut and they are made at one side with incline end face for slot, and at other side they are made with recess for back of rolling cutters. At installing drilling bit on bottom of cup, cup compresses spring hanger and lowers down together with slips. At lowering of cup, slips are displaced in radial direction and fix drilling bit relative to body. After that, by means of power-driven tongs and rotor, drilling bit is coupled with turbodrill or other drilling motor. At lifting of drilling bit, slips under action of power actuator are sunken in openings of cup and free its through-passage. The embodiment of device ensures more safety and reliability in operation that is during replacement of drilling bits. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 3 dwg
