FIELD: mining technology. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for working rock and semirock mass by means of mobile cutting machines and combination cutting and transporting machines. For realization of method, formed in end faces of block as rock is being mined are inclined planes or exit ramps for possibility of travel of cutting machinery and combination cutting and transporting machinery. Established at boundary of block and along its front is pillar. Height of pillar is equal to height of bench being worked. In process of mining operations, pillars can be used as transportation passages, barrier dams, pioneer embankments, and when pillars are not needed, they are worked out. Aforesaid method is aimed at improving safety of operations in working sloppy part of benches by thin horizontal and inclined layers and at widening limits of technological use of pillars between adjacent blocks.
