FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: method of control of methane emission at the extraction district is offered for the chamber-and-pillar system for bank excavation comprising the preparatory and excavation activities, identification of blocks at the extraction district, excavation of blocks from the boundary of the extraction district with the subsequent alternate insulation them from the mine atmosphere, bank excavation using chambers, their ventilation, coal excavation from interchambered pillars by a frontal combine and artificial methane removal from excavated space out of the extraction district. Meanwhile a ventilation of pass chambers at partial improvement of interchambered coal pillars carry out by amplifier fans. And fresh air submit consistently to the next pass chamber with removal of methane from the upper and bottom parts of the block into the common return air of the block. And methane from the insulated excavated space is removed through degassing line laid behind the girt of upper non-excavated inter-block coal pillar.

EFFECT: improvement of safety of mining operations at development of gas-bearing coal beds due to efficient ventilation of mines.
