FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: air cleaner has housing with bottom held together by mounting members and provided with inlet and outlet ports, housing cover and filtering element. The latter divides air cleaner space into two spaces, namely, cleaned air space and noncleaned air space. Air cleaner has deflector installed in housing at side of inlet port and forming branched channels together with housing walls. Dynamic cuts of channels are arranged in air cleaner housing space at definite manner. Deflector is located in cleaned air space equidistantly and with clearance relative to side surface of filtering element. Orientation of deflector in air cleaner space is provided by its rigid coupling with at least one of fastening members. Deflector of different design versions can be used to suit design of air cleaner. EFFECT: increased service life of air cleaner. 3 cl, 6 dwg
