FIELD: acceleration equipment. SUBSTANCE: process provides for manufacture of superconducting articles used to function in linear and in circular-orbit accelerators and separators of high-energy particles. It consists in formation of working superconducting layer on copper matrix by deposition of niobium layer on matrix surface, in submersion of matrix into melt of one or more halogenides of alkali metal containing tin salt and in its aging in melt at temperature of 500-1000 C. Chloride or fluoride of alkali metal is used in the capacity of halogenide. Metal chosen from group carrying sodium, potassium, lithium, cesium is used as alkali metal. Tin salt has composition SnR2 or Me2SnF6, where R is chlorine, fluorine and Me is alkali metal. Technical result achieved by process lies in production of superconducting article with working Nb3Sn layer having high critical characteristics in absence of low superconductivity zones, in decrease of temperature of formation of superconducting layer by 220-720 C, in 500-1000 times reduction of usage of niobium and in 7-10 times increase of thermal conductivity of matrix which encourages operations of superconducting article at higher level of power. EFFECT: simplified process of manufacture of articles, diminished energy consumption and enhanced efficiency of usage of cryogenic system. 4 cl, 1 tbl
