FIELD: electrical engineering; heating facilities. SUBSTANCE: electric heater has heating sections installed in protective housing and forming air passages in between. Heating sections are formed by vertically installed frames with tape heaters arranged on electric insulating material and secured on frames. Framework of each section is made in form of rigid frame with heating tape thermal linear expansion spring compensator. Moulded heat-resistant porcelain or mineral wool is used as electric insulating material. heating tape is wound over insulating material with clearance between coils. Heat reflecting screens are placed between sections. Water drain screens covered from top by grille can be placed over sections. Branch pipes for convective passage of working medium can be installed with inclination in upper portion of sections. Upper part of protective housing can be made in form of tapering bell for accommodating heat accumulating members. Electric heater can be furnished with companion automatic electronic control panel and remote temperature pickup. Frames can be made sectional for assembling and disassembling.
