FIELD: wood-working industry; may be used in production of antiseptic wood in chamber drying. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that in multistage drying of timber, prior to steam-heat treatment, chamber temperature is set to below dew point, and supplied to chamber is suspension of water-soluble antiseptic, and then surface layers of wood are finally dried. EFFECT: reduced residual internal stress in timber with simultaneous antiseptic treatment of wood in the course of chamber drying.
