FIELD: rubber industry. SUBSTANCE: stereoregular cis-1,4-polybutadiene is produced via polymerization of butadiene in aromatic solvent in a battery of in- series connected three to five reactors including Ziegler-Natta catalyst. Butadiene solution in aromatic solvent is portionwise supplied into three first reactors, each one receiving 10 to 80 wt % of total charge. Catalyst is also loaded portionwise into the 1st and 2nd or into the 1st and 3rd reactors, the 1st one receiving 10 to 90 wt % of total catalyst charge. Such way of carrying out the process results in considerably reduced consumption of expensive component of catalytic system and one order of magnitude lower yield of butadiene trimers.
