FIELD: protective coatings. SUBSTANCE: claimed material comprises methyl methacrylate, polybutyl methacrylate, polyisocyanate, perchlorovinyl resin, polymerization initiates, polymerization catalyst, amine and modifying additive. In order to prepare homogeneous corrosion-resistant coatings on large size units and engineering structures that operate in tropical climate, said material comprises modifying additive such as aliphatic multihydric alcohols or esters of said alcohols, and orthophosphoric acid or mixture of said alcohols and said phosphates of said alcohols, the ratio of said components being as follows (wt parts): 100 methyl methacrylate; 3-65 polybutyl methacrylate; 1-75 polyisocyanate; 0.1-50 perchlorovinyl resin; 1-15 polymerization initiator; 0.05-5 polymerization catalyst; 0.01-5 amine; and 0.1-15 modifying additive.
