SUBSTANCE: claimed highly strong cast iron comprises carbon, silicon, manganese, magnesium and iron and further comprises titanium, cerium and nickel, the ratio of components being as follows (wt %): 3.1-5.5 carbon; 2.2-2.7 silicon; 0.5-0.8 manganese; 0.5-2.0 nickel; 0.03- 0.06 magnesium; 1.2-8.0 titanium; 0.02-0.20 cerium; and the iron balance, improved antifriction properties makes it possible to maintain good funning in, reduce noise and improve machineability by cutting.
