FIELD: mechanical drives with closed differential mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: method of transmission of power in closed differential mechanism by two parallel flows at negative gear ratio between flows is effected by selection of gear ratios. One driven member of differential mechanism is selected to be drive member and other to be driven member in closing back coupling. Chain to be closed belongs to differential mechanism. Product of gear ratios one of which is gear ratio of closing back coupling and other is gear ratio of chain to be closed with drive member of differential mechanism stopped is selected to be positive and not to be equal to one. Relationship of gear ratios one of which is gear ratio at stopped driven member of closing back coupling of revolutions of drive member of differential mechanism to revolutions of drive member of closing back coupling and other is gear ratio at stopped drive member of closing back coupling of revolutions of drive member of differential mechanism to revolutions of driven member of closing back coupling is selected to be negative and equal to gear ratio at stopped drive member of differential mechanisms of revolutions of driven member of closing back coupling to revolutions of drive member of closing back coupling.
