SUBSTANCE: fumigator has Y-shaped shanks carrying fumigant which is uniformly distributed along the whole with of fumigator, and compacting roller for compacting soil to reduce exit of fumigant vapors into atmosphere. Fumigation quality may be improved by adequate selecting of compacting roller rotational frequency by means of control unit. During advancement of fumigator, liquid fumigant is distributed through fumigant width. Depth sensor measures penetration of compaction roller into soil and speed sensor determines motion speed. Control unit selects rotational speed on the basis of presented measured values, which are regularly, in each 0.1 m, requested. In case rotational speed of compaction roller deviates by over 5% from predetermined value, control unit delivers signal proportional to deviation value to regulating throttle for minimizing it.
