FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, equipment for cylindrical or flat grinding of parts. SUBSTANCE: abrasive tool has body formed as mandrel with central opening and two opposite longitudinal slots. Stem is positioned for sliding within central opening. Two conjugated abrasive containing parts and abrasive tool height adjusting mechanism are mounted on body of abrasive tool. One of abrasive containing parts has two opposite helical grooves positioned on its inner surface and adapted for receiving pin extending through mandrel longitudinal slots and facilitating movement of this part. Other abrasive containing part is rigidly fixed on stem by means of key and threaded connections. Such construction allows abrasive tool to work by the principle of "non-repeating tracks". EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider operational capabilities and improved quality of machined surface. 7 dwg
