FIELD: mechanical engineering; interrupted grinding of blanks at heat flow control in abrasive machining of workpieces liable to forming such defects as burns and microcracks. SUBSTANCE: device has hub and spring screw-shaped working body with abrasive layer which can be axially shifted by means of axial feed and locking mechanisms. Axial slot is made in hub, and each coil of working body has fitted through axial slot of hub into ring slots of tracer discretely by axial feed mechanism. The latter has rotating spring-loaded ratchet wheel engaging at one side through splined joint with tracer and at other side with fixed and pushing ratchet wheels by means of end face teeth. Pushing ratchet wheel is installed for axial displacement in fixed ratchet wheel being limited at one side by bead of hub threaded bushing and at other side, by compression spring. Locking mechanism is made in form of spring-loaded conical plate with conical slot located in conical slot of peripheral part of hub where and conical head of attachment screw are located. Attachment screw is secured on end of spring screw-shaped body. EFFECT: possibility of discrete control of coil tiling angle to provide vibration of cutting zone and increase strength of tool at preservation of advantages of interrupted grinding process. 3 cl, 9 dwg
