FIELD: machine engineering, possibly finish working of parts at controlling heat flux. SUBSTANCE: method is realized at using disc having helical intermittent surface and being subjected to rotation and motion relative to article. Method comprises steps of using grinding disc including portions of annular elastic flexible body with abrasive layer secured to peripheral surface of flanges; mounting flanges in spindle in such a way that one flange is mounted stationary and other flange is mounted with possibility of motion in axial direction; rigidly securing ends of portions of disc to different flanges. It provides intensification of working modes due to oscillation of cutting zone, rapid change-over of disc from intermittent to continuous one and vice versa and increased rigidity of design.
