FIELD: manufacture of knitting machines, in particular, stretchers of knitted fabric on circular knitters, mainly, of large diameter. SUBSTANCE: stretcher consists of guide made in the form of bent cylindrical ring rigidly connected with knitter disk via vertical rod and moving over it with the help of bushing. Diameter is equal to diameter of knitter needle cylinder. The invention offers dependence of cylindrical ring bend on curve of length variation of loop wales. Preservation of fabric cylindrical shape on the section from bearing plane to its contact with stretcher allows installation of contact pickup of fabric quality control in the course of knitting.
