FIELD: electrical engineering; lead-acid storage batteries. SUBSTANCE: device has slit-shaped guides, cleaning element placed above them that incorporates flexible cleaning members in the form of wires. Cleaning element is built up of mandrels arranged in tandem in single row and separate cleaning members mounted in parallel to guides and displaced in row so as to overlap part of member thickness. Inactive part of each member is wound in the form of spring on its respective mandrel and end of spring is fixed in position; guides are provided with restricting ports to receive active parts of cleaning members. Each next cleaning member is displaced in row through half to one third of member thickness. EFFECT: improved reliability. 2 cl, 4 dwg
