METHOD OF PREPARING IMMUNOGLOBULINS USED FOR TREATMENT OF CARNIVOROUS ANIMALS WITH PLAGUE, OR PARVOVIRAL ENTERITIS, OR ADENOVIRAL HEPATITIS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary virology. SUBSTANCE: method involves immunization of donor-animals (sheep, goats) firstly with cultural viral antigen by subcutaneous route with noncomplete and complete Freund's adjuvant and then with antigen no containing Freund's adjuvant at a single dose at all immunization stages (10: 25) ml and at antigen titer 5 lg LD₅₀,, not less. Blood samples are taken from donors at regular intervals at blood antibody titer 2.5 lg, not less, in reaction of biological neutralization for plague viruses or carnivorous adenoviral hepatitis and at 1:512, not less, in suppression hemagglutination reaction for parvoviral enteritis. Then animals are subjected for the periodical repeated vaccination at the same titer and dose of antigen but without Freund's antigen. Immunoglobulins are isolated by precipitation with salts followed by purification using the preparative chromatography method. EFFECT: increased yield of the highly purified immunoglobulins, enhanced specificity and activity of immunoglobulins. 1 tbl, 5 ex
