FIELD: metallurgy, particularly rollers of multistrand plants for metal continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: roller includes barrel with trunnions mounted in bearing units, dead opening along barrel axis, flexible pipe introduced into dead opening of roller barrel and rigidly secured to shell body, bearing units with lateral covers. Shell body is secured to cover of bearing unit with possibility of motion relative to it by means of mounting member. Springy member is placed between shell body and cover of bearing unit. Said pipe is made of separate metallic tubes mutually joined by means of small flexible tubes, or it may be wholly made from elastic material. Flexible pipe and each metallic tubes are provided with successively arranged rests for centering them relative to dead opening of roller barrel. EFFECT: increased strength of rollers, simplified process of plant operation. 7 cl, 3 dwg
