FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous casting machines (CCM). Cooling apparatus for a continuous casting roller, made with internal central drilling in the roller, is installed on the body of the support bearings and comprises a body with a sprayer inserted into the drilling of the roller, a hole for cooling water supply and a drain water removal hole, wherein the roller of the continuous casting machine comprises a barrel with a drive and support pivots, a band jacket set on the barrel, and sealing rings are installed in the body of the roller and in bearing bodies. On the inside, the roller has through radial holes, from 4 to 6 in a radial cross-section, made with the same pitch along the circumference, a cylindrical band jacket made of a heat-resistant material, rigidly fixed flush by nuts, is set on top of the roller. Inside the roller, the water supply fitting has nozzles with axes aligned with the sectional axes of the radial holes, and water is drained through the channel of the axial drilling of the roller.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of cooling the roller sue to the increase in the cooling surface thereof, which increases the fracture resistance and resource thereof.
