FIELD: liquid fuels. SUBSTANCE: liquid fuel for boiling assemblies, furnaces, turbines, and other power installations contains basic hydrocarbon component and water. The former is mazut in which water content 5-6 wt % is maintained and water drop size does not exceed 1 mcm. Water drops in fuel result from multistep alternate hydrodynamic cavitation treatment and ageing. Cavitation treatment is carried out at cavitation number 1.5 to 4.5. EFFECT: reduced amount of nitrogen oxides released on burning and increased fuel storage time. 9 cl, 4 dwg
