FIELD: gold mining. SUBSTANCE: method consists in opening gold-containing raw material with aqueous sulfuric and nitric acids in presence of oxygen and includes separation of solid gold- containing cake from reaction solution and transferring further gold from cake into solution. Oxidative opening process is carried out in aqueous solution containing 0.7-4.5 M sulfuric acid and 0.14-2.8 M nitric acid at 20 to 90 C and pressure 0-7 atm using continuous bubbling of air through solution to dissolve 20 to 75 wt % of the total initial material, its particle size being 0.07 to 10.00 mm. Gold is extracted from solid with 1:4 dimethylsulfoxide-hydrogen chloride mixture. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency and improved environmental safety. 3 cl, 4 tbl
