FIELD: mechanical engineering; processing of fuel for ship multifuel internal combustion engine. SUBSTANCE: method comes to filtering of heavy fuel and treatment of fuel by cavitation generators at frequency of 15-20 kHz. First cavitation generator provides energy of fuel treatment of 90-100 kJ/mol, and second generator, of 150-200 kJ/mol. Time between beginning of cavitation and injection does not exceed 0.15 s. Fuel preparation system has parallel heavy and light fuel main lines connected to common supply line. Filter for cleaning light fuel from water and hard particles with polyvinylformal filtering element is installed in light fuel main line. Centrifugal separator with shutoff valves is installed in system to be cut into system at emergency watering of fuel for series operation with filter or cavitation generator installed on heavy fuel main line. EFFECT: increased intensity of fuel burning, economy of installation, prevention of contamination of environment in process of fuel treatment. 3 cl, 2 tbl, 1 dwg
