DRUM-TYPE VACUUM DRIER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2120589 C1

FIELD: food processing industry; devices for conversion of liquid food products into dry powder-like state. SUBSTANCE: liquid material is introduced into vacuum kettle through pipe union and vacuum kettle is set in oscillatory motion by means of mechanical drive. During rotation, liquid flows around inner surface of vacuum kettle and grinding bodies receiving heat from them. Water steam formed in boiling of liquid is directed to cooled vacuum reservoir. When moisture content of dry residual drops to 3-5 percent, grinding process is started. Flour formed during rotation of vacuum kettle pours through screen and is accumulated in fixed receiver of finished product introduced in central area of vacuum kettle. EFFECT: increased heat exchange surface; direct contact of material being dried with heated surfaces of apparatus. 3 cl, 2 dwg
