FIELD: processing of thermosoftening plastic materials applicable for manufacture of monolithic large-sized articles, for example, articles 50 to 250 mm in diameter and up to 5000 mm high, 250 to 1200 mm in diameter and up to 5000 mm high, 250 to 1200 mm in diameter and up to 3000 mm high, rings and disks with an outside diameter up to 2500 mm and up to 1000 mm high. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in fusion of granules of polyolefines in a mould in vacuum at 10-1 - 10 mm Hg, temperature exceeding the melting point of granules by 30 to 80C. The temperature differential makes up 10 to 15C in height for every 100 mm. Then cooling is accomplished from bottom to top up to 20 to 80C with a temperature differential within 5 to 10C in height for every 100 mm. After fusion, before cooling, the mould is filled with inert gas preliminarily heated to the melting point. Cooling is accomplished at rate V = 4,85-0,143 a2/5, C/hr, where a=h at d/h≥1 and a=d at d/h<1, where h= article height, d - article diameter. EFFECT: enhanced mechanical and dielectric characteristics of produced articles.
