SUBSTANCE: limestone, clay component and sand are mixed and the raw mix thus formed is roasted at high temperature, and the desired product is ground. Silicon dioxide is added for mixing purposes, roasting operation is performed in slightly reducing medium at mix moisture content of 38-42 wt.%, granules are then cooled by injecting water, and exhaust gas temperature at furnace outlet is maintained at 140-160 C.
