FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to alloying of steel during casting by addition of alloying materials to jet of metal coming to vertical gate of central runner. In correspondence with invention alloying metal passes through waterlock before vertical gate that does not let gases pass in both directions and injection of alloying materials and trapping of aerosols is performed in gate in isolated space between its sections in waterlock and in vertical gate shut off by flowing molten metal. Central runner is composed of funnel, vertical gate and waterlock placed on it and composed of lower and upper turns of gate. Gate has at least one hole for injection of alloying materials and trapping of aerosols located between its sections in waterlock and in vertical gate shut by molten metal. Hole communicates through sealed pipe-line with sealed plant which feeds alloying materials and with system trapping aerosols liberated from molten metal in central runner. EFFECT: decreased burning loss of injected alloying materials, improved quality of steel and diminished emission of aerosol to atmosphere. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
