FIELD: mechanical engineering; axial - piston two-stroke internal combustion engines with compression ignition. SUBSTANCE: axial - piston diesel engine has housing with cylinders and oppositely moving pistons mechanically coupled with main shaft, combustion chambers and fuel feed devices driven by cam. Main shaft has splines, ring stop with spring and sleeve with flyweights. Fuel feed device drive cam is arranged on splines between spring and sleeve for engagement with the latter and axial translation displacement along shaft. Fuel feed devices are located in space of housing between cylinders and are made in form of unit-injectors driven from one cam by means of bell cranks installed on axles in housing. One arm of bell cranks is furnished with roller for engagement with cam, and the other is mated with unit-injector tappet. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified design of engine, provision of interchangeability of cylinders at increased service life of engine. 4 cl, 3 dwg
