FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: sample of biological material is ground and extracted with organic solvent, in particular, acetic anhydride. Extract solution is twofold concentrated. Concentrate is diluted with water in a volume ratio of 1:3, respectively, and extracted with water-saturated diethyl ether. Extractant is distilled off to leave dry residue, which is dissolved in chloroform. Chloroform solution is extracted with water-alkali solution at pH 98.0-9.5. Alkali extract is separated and acidified to pH 2-3. Acidified solution is extracted with water-saturated ether. Separated extract is evaporated to dryness and residue is dissolved in chloroform. Resultant solution is separated on high-performance liquid chromatographic column filled with Silasorb-600 sorbent using, as mobile phase, solvent system consisting of 20:1 hexane-2-propanol mixture.
